It suits children from around 2 years old who are learning to follow a sleep and waking routine on their own. At night the display shows a starry sky, which helps the child understand that it is still time to sleep. As the hours pass, the stars gradually disappear. When the pre-set waking time arrives, the stars are replaced by an image of a sun. That way the child easily understands that it is morning and time to get up. The GRO CLOCK was created to help parents build a clearer and more consistent sleep routine. The child gradually learns to recognise the visual signal and to stay in bed until the sun appears. For older children the digital time display can be switched on. This lets the GRO CLOCK also be used as a first introduction to reading a digital clock. The special nap mode lets you set a separate waking time. That is handy when the child has a different routine during the day and at night.
